Bay Vets Herb Spotlight: Astragalus

We present to you the wonderful herb: Astragalus.
Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) is an adaptogenic (a plant that assists to relieve stress, anxiety, fatigue and overall wellbeing) and is a tonic herb used in traditional Chinese medicine to boost energy and strengthen immunity.
Evidence based Research suggests that the polysaccharides and saponins in astragalus improves neurological and heart function. It restores and support the immune system. It has antibacterial and antiviral properties.
